Curryillion — Daily NBA Trivia Where Rare Answers Score More
One in a Curryillion: seven basketball prompts a day, 24 seconds each. Any valid NBA answer scores — but the rarer your pick, the deeper the shot. The obvious name is a layup; the forgotten role player is a buzzer-beater.
How to play
- 1Press Tip Off
Each day everyone gets the same seven basketball prompts — players, teams, awards, coaches, arenas. New puzzle at midnight Eastern.
- 2Beat the 24-second clock
Read the prompt, type one valid answer, submit. Unless a prompt says otherwise, any NBA player in history is fair game.
- 3Rare answers shoot deeper
The superstar everyone names is a 10-point layup. The deep cut almost nobody remembers climbs through free throws, threes and half-court shots.
- 4Share your score
After seven prompts you see your total and can share a spoiler-free result. Local stats track games, average, best and streak.
Scoring tiers
Every valid answer lands in one of five shot tiers — the rarer the answer, the bigger the bucket.
| Shot | Points | What it takes |
|---|---|---|
| One in a Curryillion | 100 | The single hidden rarest answer in each prompt |
| Half Court | 70 | Deep-cut names few players reach for |
| Three Pointer | 45 | Uncommon but gettable answers |
| Free Throw | 25 | Familiar names, not the obvious one |
| Layup | 10 | The obvious answer everyone types first |
Score higher
Skip the superstar
The name that pops up first is everyone's layup. Reach for role players, short careers and older eras — that's where the big shots hide.
Any answer beats a blank
A layup still scores. If the clock is dying and nothing rare comes, shoot the obvious one rather than taking zero.
Think franchise history
Prompts often allow all-time rosters. Fifth starters, backup bigs and one-season rentals are the usual half-court answers.
One puzzle a day
There is no unlimited mode — today's seven prompts are it. Finish, share, and come back at midnight Eastern for the next set.
