What is Clueffy?

An independent browser word game with its own original puzzles - part Wordle, part riddle.

Each daily puzzle points at one common six-letter English word. You get a first clue up front, and every guess that misses unlocks the next clue while coloring your letters: green in the right spot, orange in the word but elsewhere, dark for absent. Five guesses, five clues, one answer - shared by everyone that day.

How to play Clueffy

  1. 1
    Read clue one

It points loosely at the answer - think about double meanings, not just the literal sense.

  2. 2
    Guess a six-letter word

Type with your keyboard or the on-screen keys and press Enter. Wrong guesses aren't wasted - they open the next clue.

  3. 3
    Read the letter colors

Green = right letter, right spot. Orange = in the word, wrong spot. Dark = not in the word. Combine colors with the clues.

  4. 4
    Solve within five guesses

Use as few clues as you can - cracking it on clue one or two is the real flex.

Today's Clueffy hints & answer

The game itself keeps today's nudges under the board.

On the official page, the Today's Clueffy hints & answer section sits below the game: three progressive hints (a gentle nudge, a clearer connection, the first letter) plus a spoiler-protected answer reveal. Using a hint marks your round as assisted, and opening the answer ends an unfinished round - so peek only when you're ready to give up the streak.

FAQ

Is Clueffy free?

Yes - free to play in the browser with no account or sign-up.

How many guesses do I get?

Five. Each missed guess reveals the next of the five clues, so you always see one more clue than guesses used.

Is there a new puzzle every day?

Yes - one shared puzzle a day, the same answer for everyone.

Is Clueffy the same as Cluey or ClueCraft?

No - they're separate daily clue games with different rules. Clueffy's answer is always exactly six letters and its clues come from a single chain.
