ⓘ

Before you open it: this black ops zombies browser game is heavy — a 1.5 GB memory heap plus a few hundred MB of map data on first load (cached after). If it black-screens or runs like a slideshow, hardware acceleration is off — the three fixes below cover nearly every report.

Getting in

  1. 1
Open it in a desktop browser

Chrome, Edge or Firefox — current version, hardware acceleration on. Mobile browsers can't run it.

  2. 2
    Name and mode

Enter a name, then choose Single player or Multiplayer — multiplayer creates a lobby you can share with friends.

  3. 3
    Pick a gun set

Classic Black Ops weapons, or a Counter-Strike style loadout with its own recoil and movement feel.

  4. 4
    Choose a map

First visit to each map downloads its data into your browser — it's slow once, then cached and fast forever. A Horde mode toggle at the bottom of the map list runs a round-100 variant with up to 300 zombies.

  5. 5
Click inside to capture the mouse

Press a key to start the round, then click the game area so your aim tracks properly.

Runs badly? The three fixes

ProblemFix
Black screen or slideshow FPSHardware acceleration is off. Chrome/Edge: Settings → System → graphics acceleration on. Firefox: Settings → Performance → untick "recommended", tick acceleration.
Won't load / map stallsBrowser storage blocked or full. Private windows and strict cookie settings break the cache; keep a few GB of disk free.
Stutters in big hordesThe game reserves a 1.5 GB heap — close heavy tabs, use the Low quality preset, and try another browser if it persists.

Know before you play

Unofficial and unaffiliated

A fan project — Activision and Treyarch have no involvement. It already survived one takedown notice and moved addresses in mid-October, so enjoy it while it's up.

Desktop only

The WebAssembly build needs a real keyboard, mouse and GPU. On a phone it simply won't run — no touch build exists.

Maps cache per browser

Downloaded map data lives in that browser's storage — clearing site data or switching browsers means downloading again.

Lighter alternative

If the port is too heavy for your machine, Nazi Zombies Portable is a lighter browser zombies game playable right here.
