Black Ops Browser
The Black Ops browser game everyone is playing: the full 2010 Black Ops 1 zombies mode running on WebAssembly in a desktop tab — all ten maps, solo or in an online lobby, with no game files and nothing to install.
Getting in
- 1Enter a name
The setup screen asks for a callsign first — up to 16 letters, numbers and spaces.
- 2Pick a mode
Single player to play alone, or Multiplayer to create an online lobby you can share with friends.
- 3Choose a gun set
Classic Black Ops weapons, or a Counter-Strike style loadout with its own recoil and movement feel.
- 4Pick a map and a quality preset
Kino der Toten is first on the list. High or Low graphics — Low is the fix for machines without a dedicated GPU. The Horde mode toggle below the list runs a round-100 variant with up to 300 zombies and no perk machines.
- 5Click inside to capture the mouse
Press a key to start the round, then click the game area so your aim tracks properly.

Runs badly? The three fixes
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Black screen or slideshow FPS | Hardware acceleration is off. Chrome/Edge: Settings → System → graphics acceleration on. Firefox: Settings → Performance → untick "recommended", tick acceleration. |
| Won't load / map stalls | Browser storage blocked or full. Private windows and strict cookie settings break the cache; keep a few GB of disk free. |
| Stutters in big hordes | The game reserves a 1.5 GB heap — close heavy tabs, use the Low quality preset, and try another browser if it persists. |
FAQ
Can you really play Black Ops in a browser?
Yes — a fan project runs the 2010 game's zombies mode on a WebAssembly build of the engine, right in a desktop browser tab. No install, no game files of your own needed.
Is the black ops zombies browser game free?
Yes — it's an unofficial fan port, free to play. Call of Duty belongs to Activision, which hasn't endorsed it, so it could go offline at any time; it already survived one takedown notice in mid-October and moved addresses.
Does it work on mobile?
No — it needs a desktop browser with WebGL2, a real GPU, a keyboard and a mouse. There's no touch build.
Does progress or downloaded maps carry over?
Map data caches in that browser's storage — switch browsers or clear site data and you'll download again.
