Bellfoundry: Temper the Night
A tiny illustrated precision game — you're the bell-maker on the last shift of the night. Forge five bells by balancing metal heat and landing the perfect strike. Five bells, one final chord.
How forging works
- 1Stoke the heat
Hold Space — or the "Hold to stoke" button — to push the heat bar up. Each bell shows its target band, like 58–72%.
- 2Watch the strike meter
The strike pointer sweeps — you want it inside the green when the hammer falls. Both the heat and the pointer matter.
- 3Strike
Press Enter or "Strike bell" when heat and pointer line up. A clean strike casts the bell; a sloppy one costs you the attempt.
- 4Five bells, one chord
You get 20 seconds per bell across one night shift — finish all five to ring the final chord.
Tips
Overshoot and wait
Heat decays — push a little past the band, release, and let it settle into the target while you time the pointer.
Two hands, two jobs
Space for heat, Enter for strike — treat them as separate tasks. The pointer doesn't wait for you.
Read each bell's band
Later bells narrow or shift their targets — the first bell's rhythm won't carry the fifth.
Sound on helps
The procedural audio cues the forge — it's easier to feel the timing than to watch both bars at once.
