The golden rule: one confirmed tell in any layer is enough to reject. Rejecting a real animal costs a little time and score - admitting an anomaly can end the run. When in doubt, REJECT.

The five-point check

Veterans run the same five layers on every patient before touching the Shutter. Skip one and that's the layer the anomaly wins on.

  1. 1
    Look at the animal

Visual tells at the window: twitching limbs, extra eyes, hollow sockets, human teeth, unnatural grins.

  2. 2
    Take the photo

The desk camera can show a different animal than the one in front of you - compare the print detail by detail.

  3. 3
    Check the CCTV feed

The monitor catches what the window hides: censor bars, void bodies, stretched limbs, patients staring into the lens.

  4. 4
    Read the paperwork

The appointment clipboard has to match - a clean-looking patient with no valid booking is not a patient.

  5. 5
    Listen

Audio is the last layer - what the visitor says (or doesn't) can expose an imposter that passed every visual check.

Shutter discipline: once you reject, don't reopen for "one more look" - hesitation admits the very imposter you flagged. In co-op, call each check aloud so a teammate catches what you miss.

Appearance anomalies - visible at the window

AnomalyWhat to look for
TwitchingThe patient repeatedly twitches its limbs and neck while standing still
Three EyesThree glowing red eyes instead of two
Hollow FaceHollow eye sockets and a wide-open mouth
Wide Eyes & Creepy SmileUnnaturally large eyes and a disturbing grin
Human TeethRealistic human teeth instead of normal animal teeth
Mismatched Eyes & Sharp TeethOne eye sits higher than the other, with visible sharp teeth

Photo & CCTV anomalies

LayerTell
PhotoEyes in the photo don't match the patient - missing pupils, changed shape, different eyelids
PhotoEars in the photo differ from the actual patient
PhotoThe photo shows a different animal or appearance entirely
PhotoThe photo itself is wrong - static, distortion or cursed imagery
CCTVBlack censor bars over parts of the patient
CCTVVoid or missing body on camera
CCTVStretched limbs or the patient staring directly into the lens

Later shifts get nastier: past shift four, anomalies start failing only one layer at a time - which is why the full sequence matters.

Progression

Animal Coins & classes

Clean shifts pay Animal Coins - spend them on one of the classes that fits your role on the desk. Better class, longer survival.

The Journal

Tracks anomalies you've documented plus reward milestones - fill it as you survive more shifts.

What slips through hunts you

An admitted anomaly becomes a Skinwalker loose inside the clinic. It may not show itself until it's already killing someone.

About "codes"

There is no code-redemption system in this game - no codes have ever existed. Sites listing "working Animal Hospital codes" are clickbait.

FAQ

Is Animal Hospital free?

Yes - free inside Roblox on PC, phone, tablet and console.

Are there any Animal Hospital codes?

No. The game has no redeem-code box anywhere in its menus, and the developer has never released one. The "vault code" players mention is a story item (Ratthew's key), not a promo code.

What happens if I reject a real patient?

A small time and score penalty - nothing worse. The safe error is always rejection; admitting an anomaly is what ends runs.

Solo or co-op?

Both work. Co-op makes the five-point check faster and safer since teammates cover different layers - solo runs are slower but entirely doable.
