Abyssal Salvage
A solo-developed Godot game about diving a fragile salvage sub into total darkness. Each dive lasts only as long as your oxygen — haul scrap to the surface, spend it on permanent upgrades, and push deeper every run.
How a dive works
- 1Descend into the dark
Move with the mouse or WASD / arrow keys. Visibility shrinks fast — your sonar ring is what finds salvage.
- 2Salvage inside the ring
Your beam automatically pulls in anything inside the sonar ring. Click or press Space for a manual pulse to reach further.
- 3Surface before O₂ runs out
Oxygen is the hard limit on every dive. Whatever scrap you're carrying is only yours once you make it back up.
- 4Spend scrap, dive deeper
Scrap buys permanent upgrades in the skill tree — each run takes you deeper, faster, and into stranger territory. A wrecked crane waits somewhere past 200 m.
FAQ
Is Abyssal Salvage free?
Yes — free in the browser, no download required. Progress saves automatically between sessions.
How long is a run?
One full level is roughly 20-40 minutes, but it's built around many shorter dives with permanent upgrades between them.
Who made it?
A solo developer (fringedev), built in Godot — released October 2026 on itch.io.
Is this related to RuneScape's abyssal savages?
No — different thing entirely. This is a standalone submarine salvage game; the RuneScape monster is just a similar-sounding name.
