2048 Cube 3D — Play the 3×3×3 Merge Puzzle
The classic 2048 rebuilt in three dimensions: slide tiles inside a rotating 3×3×3 cube, merge matching numbers across six directions and chase the 2048 tile.
How it plays
Six directions
Arrow keys slide tiles up, down, left and right — W pushes them away, S pulls them toward you. Matches merge anywhere in the cube.
Rotate to inspect
Drag the mouse to spin the cube — a small window shows the far side so hidden tiles are never a guess. Z undoes a move.
Two cube sizes
3×3×3 is the full 27-cell puzzle; 2×2×2 is a quick 8-cell variant that ends at the 256 tile.
Hard mode
Normal and Hard difficulties change how aggressive the spawns are — rankings track your best runs.
Tips for the 2048 tile
- 1Anchor a corner
Keep your biggest tile pinned in one corner and feed merges toward it — same rule as flat 2048, one dimension harder.
- 2Watch the depth layer
Most losses come from forgotten tiles on the far side — rotate before every slide, not after.
- 3Save Z for mistakes
The undo is a one-move rewind — spend it on slips, not on re-planning.
- 4Warm up on 2×2×2
The small cube teaches 3D merge intuition fast — a few runs there makes the big cube readable.
FAQ

Yes — free in the browser, no account needed, and it keeps working offline once loaded.
How is it different from normal 2048?
The board is a 3×3×3 cube instead of a 4×4 grid — 27 cells and six slide directions instead of four.

Arrows move tiles on screen axes, W/S push and pull through depth, Z undoes, and dragging rotates the view.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes — swipe controls plus an on-screen pad and depth control.
