Tiny Eden Planter Size, Soil Mix, Light and Temperature Guide
Stop losing crops in Tiny Eden. Match pot volume, soil components, light, and temperature to each plant using the info panel. Tomato transplant chain and common mistakes.
Plants stall, wilt, or vanish after a few days because the pot is too small, the soil mix is wrong, or light/temperature doesn't match what that plant actually wants. The plant info panel is the source of truth. Ignore it and you lose the crop.
1 Plant in the starter size
-
1
Plant in the starter size the game gives you (often 0.5 L for seedlings).
Don't skip ahead to a large pot โ seedlings start small and transplant up on schedule.
2 Open the plant info panel immediately
-
2
Open the plant info panel immediately and keep checking it.
It tells you required pot volume, soil components (e.g. compost X/Y, sand A/B), and when a transplant is due.
3 Mix soil to the numbers shown
-
3
Mix soil to the numbers shown on the pot fill UI, not by guess.
Compost feeds, sand drains, clay holds water and minerals. Later plants also want perlite, coco coir, or peat. Fill until the bars match the plant's request.
4 Place the pot in the right light and temperature
-
4
Place the pot where light and temperature fit that plant (window vs balcony vs indoor room vs rooftop).
Use grow lights or shade nets if the spot is wrong; use heater/AC if the room is too cold or hot. Balconies run warmer than rooftops and cooler than indoor rooms.
5 Water and weed on the daily loop
-
5
Water and weed on the daily loop.
Time runs 60:1 โ a missed day still costs you a plant.
Tomato transplant chain
-
โ
Start 0.5 L โ First move 3 L โ Final 16 L.
One player reported small pot to 5 L to 16 L also worked. Both groups said the info panel told them when to move. Do the move as soon as the panel asks or the seedling disappears in 3-4 days. Same pattern is being tried on peppers.
Decision points
-
โข
Stay in a small pot vs transplant now
If the panel lists a larger volume, move now. Undersized pots stunt growth no matter how good the soil is.
-
โข
Which soil recipe
Follow the on-screen fractions for that plant. Early plants are often compost + sand only; later ones add clay and other components. Wrong ratio = poor drainage or nutrient lock.
-
โข
Where to put it
If leaves look weak or growth is slow, change location or add a grow light/shade net before you change soil again.
-

Companion planting
Tomato + basil is a good pair (different root depths, less competition). Tomato + cabbage is a bad pair.
Common mistakes
- Leaving seedlings in the first tiny pot until they despawn. The info panel tells you when to transplant โ act on it.
- Buying soil bags and dropping them on the floor. They vanish the next day. Use them on the pot fill UI immediately.
- Assuming every plant uses the same pot size or the same compost/sand/clay ratio. Each plant has its own requirements in the info panel.
- Ignoring the info panel and treating wilt as "demo cap." Developers said available plants should be reachable โ missing harvests are usually pot or soil.
- Over-fertilizing NPK once those systems unlock. The game punishes excess.
