Legia WOBL Normal Guide
No Myro required. The key is capping Defense Penetration and executing Legia's yellow circle mechanic correctly. Here is the full setup and mechanic breakdown.

Most players hitting Legia for low damage are not capping Defense Penetration. Bosses have very high defense - without ~50% Def Pen, raw ATK does almost nothing. Fix Def Pen first, then learn the three boss mechanics. This guide covers both.

Preparation - Def Pen First
Non-negotiable: Stack Defense Penetration to ~50% cap on your main DPS before anything else. Sources: boots main stat, artifact substats, shadows, gems, core substats.

Sharp Perception, Weakness Detection, Power Surge (stay at 100% HP), Blood Lust, Boss Slayer, Finishing Touch.

Bestie + Serbi + Brute
Bestie (authority leader), Serbi (support), Brute (20% ATK for 10s).
Artifact Set
Architect's Poison 8-set
Best for SJW and Liu Zhigang due to Def Pen buff against high-defense enemies.

Hunter Mode Team (Butcher H)
Recommended team: Gina + Christopher Reed + Liu Zhigang (main burst)

Give Liu Zhigang the Architect's Poison 8-set. The Def Pen buff stacks against high-defense enemies and outperforms other sets in this mode.

Rotation: When Overload starts - swap in Liu immediately - activate Ult - spam skills - use second Ult in the same Overload window. Both Ults in one window is the target.

Bad rotation or wrong set on Liu results in ~1.5B damage. Correct rotation and Poison set delivers 4B+ as shown in guide runs. The difference is almost entirely the rotation discipline.

Butcher H
Hunter Mode
- Two phases: Boss regens HP after first kill, then enters second phase.
- Overload trigger: Watch for Overload at approximately 50% HP in second phase. Use all skills immediately.
- Break mechanic: Break via skills and elemental accumulation when available.
- Not mechanically complex - primarily a DPS and Def Pen check.

Surtur
SJW Mode
- Red stones order: Destroy closest stone first, then right side, then left side.
- Flame breath dodge: Dodge left-to-right when Surtur breathes.
- Overload window: Use all skills during Overload. Do not waste the window.
- Surtur is weak to Wind - prioritize Wind damage if available on your SJW.

Legia
Final Boss
- Charged punch: Dodge approximately 1 second after Legia flashes red. Not on the flash itself - wait for the delay.
- Yellow circle phase: Enter the left or right circle, position behind boss, then dash quickly to the top circle. Repeat sequence for stun. This saves a large amount of run time when executed correctly.
- Transform / giant phase: Run left or right between attacks, always end positioning in the middle.
- Big attack: Run to blue stones, grab the chain, apply to boss immediately.
Key Decision Points
Def Pen vs. raw ATK - which to stack first?
Always Def Pen to 50% cap first. Raw ATK does almost nothing against bosses with high defense if Def Pen is not capped. This is the single most impactful upgrade you can make.
Architect's Poison vs. other artifact sets?
Architect's Poison 8-set is the current best for Liu Zhigang and SJW in WOBL content. The Def Pen buff it provides stacks directly against high-defense boss enemies.
Legia yellow circle - when to practice?
Practice the yellow circle dash timing in Normal difficulty specifically before attempting higher tiers. Failing it costs most of your run time. It is a mechanic skill check, not a damage issue.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Not capping Defense Penetration. This is the most common reason for low damage on all three bosses. Fix it before anything else.
- Bad Liu Zhigang rotation - only using one Ult per Overload instead of two. This halves burst damage output.
- Failing Legia's yellow circle mechanic. This is a time failure, not damage - it extends the fight significantly and wastes DPS windows.
- Not swapping artifact sets and rotations between Hunter mode and SJW mode. Each mode has different optimal setups.
- Ignoring Overload timing. Use all skills in the Overload window - letting it expire unused is a major DPS loss.
