The core goal
How builds work in Sephiria
Sword & Shield builds
SnS upgrade paths
Solar / Fire Solis Missio SnS
High single-target boss melt with blade recall uptime. Prioritize Meteorite Pauldrons early and upgrade it as high as possible so you can recall blades every ~2.5 seconds. Pair with Fire Cat costume for carry potential through the full game.
Stack: Windsong (attack speed), Ember (fire damage), Precision (damage amp)
Costume: Fire Cat
Lightning Ranged SnS
Hold shield and spam right-click with the lightning-focused SnS. Ranged special attack for crowd control and safer holding patterns.
Stack: Storm Cloud, Meteorologist, lightning damage
Playstyle: Hold shield, spam right-click
Greatsword builds
Greatsword upgrade paths
Special Attack Absolute Ring Greatsword
Equip Absolute Ring and prioritize special attack upgrades and damage. Strong boss damage and excellent room clear via range increase.
Stack: Special attack damage, range increase
Strength: Boss damage + room clear
Ice / Freeze Icicle Greatsword
Stack Glacier and Windsong as much as possible, ideally with a melee range artifact. Freezes enemies constantly and interrupts bosses.

Artifact and tablet synergies
Key decisions
Build choices
Solar/fire or lightning?
Choose solar/fire for high single-target boss melt and blade recall uptime. Choose lightning for crowd control and safer holding patterns with shield up.
Special attack or ice Greatsword?
Special attack for range and room clear. Ice for freeze lock and constant boss interruption. Both are strong but serve different playstyles.
Windsong first or elemental?
Most players take Windsong early for attack speed, then lean into elemental stacking. Attack speed makes slower weapons feel responsive.
When to add defensives?
Only after your core damage loop is online. Taking random defensives before securing your recall or freeze loop weakens your build significantly.
