Tips for Hard Heroes
-
Commit to One Hero Per Game
Never swap heroes mid-match. This avoids confusing the POTG algorithm and builds consistency. Many players report this single change dramatically improved their success rate.
-
Play for Big Ult Moments
The algorithm heavily weights the last 30-60 seconds of rounds and overtime. Save your ultimate for clutch moments. A 3-kill in overtime beats a 4-kill in the first minute.
-
Queue with a Friend
Duo with someone who can enable you. A Nano Boost on your Dragonblade, a Graviton Surge into your Barrage, or a pocket healer keeping you alive through your ultimate makes a huge difference.
-
Record and Review
Use the replay viewer to check why a play did or did not win POTG. You will start to recognize what the algorithm values and can adjust your playstyle accordingly.
Key: If your 4-kill loses to a double kill, do not tilt. The algorithm is inconsistent. Queue again and go for higher-impact plays.
