Moonlight Peaks Best Vampire Farming Guide

Step-by-step farming strategy for early game through mid-game. Covers grape and wheat keg processing, foraging routes, beehive passive income, animal barn management, and the daily routine that maximizes coins and energy.

6-step daily routine Keg processing priority Passive income setup

What players struggle with most

Players waste time and energy on low-value activities early on. The biggest mistake is selling raw crops instead of processing them through kegs. Grapes and wheat are the backbone of profitable farming, but many players skip keg construction or overplant magical crops before having mana solutions. This guide fixes that with a concrete daily routine.

Unlock prerequisites first

Many farming mechanics are gated behind story progress. Complete early quests (like first grape planting) to unlock the Keg by day 3-4. Prioritize unlocking tool upgrades, spells (mana watering), barn, job board, and mining areas. Befriend key NPCs like Luna for magical farming and Ridge for buildings.

6-step routine for maximum profit

1 Clear your farm area
Use the scythe on grass and weeds, chop trees and logs, pick up rocks. Clearing increases spawns for forageables, flowers, and dig spots. Place buildings (well, barn, kegs) in cleared space near water when possible.
2 Forage and collect passive income
Low-energy activities that generate coins without planting:
Beachcomb shells for early selling. Great coin-per-energy ratio.
Pick flowers abundantly in spring. Save 40+ for beehives later. Everyone likes them as gifts.
Dig spots daily for diamonds, seeds, and valuables. Use cat form for faster digging if unlocked.
Sell excess to Chester (the animated chest). Unlimited sell box, no shop hours.
3 Plant grapes and wheat in bulk
These two crops are the backbone of profitable farming:
Grapes (blood or white): Bulk plant as soon as available. They regrow. Process into juice (blood grape juice gives about 40 energy) or wine (high sell value).
Wheat: Plant tons for beer via kegs. Wheat combined with bread makes Ollebrod, which sells for 1100-1400 coins. Wheat is the golden crop for profit.
Tomatoes and onions: Combine into Gazpacho soup (about 40 energy, solid early food).
Potatoes: Quick raw sells if you need emergency coins.
Magical crops (later): Gobblers for big yields once mana is manageable. Water sparingly with spell. Mana refills once per night early on.
4 Process everything through kegs
Never sell raw crops if you can process them. Wine, beer, and juice sell for significantly more than raw ingredients.
Build multiple Kegs ASAP. Wood cost is low. Fill with grapes or wheat in batches. Same processing time for 1 or 10 items.
Use refiner and furnace for fodder processing. Use mill for flour.
Unlock jam maker and other processors as they become available for more profit layers.
5 Set up beehives for passive income
Place 2 or more beehives and surround them with placed flowers (as decoration, not planters). Each hive produces up to 16 honey per day with enough flowers nearby. Two hives can generate 320+ passive coins daily. Flowers respawn, so stockpile them in spring when they are abundant.
6 Manage animals and check job board
Build barn early. Feed via trough (fiber processed into fodder in refiner). Pet animals daily. Hellkitten form helps chase and catch cheekens.
Separate unhappy animals. Cheekens dislike sharing with cowculas. Separate barns if animals are unhappy for better production.
Check job board daily. Quests pay premium rewards. Save 1 diamond for a quest that pays about 10k coins.
Fishing is low energy and gives a decent haul. Mining for ores after upgrading tools.
Store 1 of each item (crops, bugs, fish, starred items) for museum and quest submissions.

Processing profit comparison

Crop Raw sell Processed Processed value
Grapes (blood) Low Blood grape juice ~40 energy + sell value
Grapes (white) Low Wine High sell value
Wheat Low Beer + Ollebrod (bread) ~1100-1400 coins
Tomatoes + Onions Low Gazpacho soup ~40 energy, solid early food
Honey (beehive) N/A Raw honey ~320 coins/day from 2 hives

Choices that shape your farm

Kegs vs. Raw Sells

Always process grapes and wheat. Wine, beer, and juice sell for significantly more than raw crops. Build kegs as your first priority after clearing farm space.

Mana Management

Early game: limit magical crops to 1-3 plots. Use spell water efficiently. Later upgrades and recipes fix mana issues. Do not overplant and waste mana.

Save vs. Sell

Keep 1 diamond, 1 golden egg, and 1+ of everything for quests and museum. Sell excess shells, non-gift flowers, and starred processed goods.

Night Length Extension

Catch soul blobs to unlock longer night settings (12-25 minutes). More night time means more farm time. Prioritize this early for efficiency gains.

Quick harvest tips

Use the scythe for mass harvest (costs stamina) or hand-pick (no stamina cost). Hold the pickup button while walking to collect items in a line. The house has infinite storage via the "Store" button in inventory when inside, so no need for tons of chests.

Key mistakes to avoid

X Selling raw crops or diamonds too early. Raw crops are worth a fraction of processed goods. Diamonds are needed for high-value quest rewards (one quest pays ~10k coins for a diamond).
X Wasting energy on bug catching early. Bug catching has high stamina drain. Wait for fixes or use it sparingly until you have energy to spare.
X Ignoring story progression. Story locks tools, areas, spells, and night length extensions. Progress the story alongside farming.
X Overplanting magical crops before mana solutions. Mana refills once per night early on. Stick to 1-3 magical crop plots until you have mana upgrades.
X Not clearing the farm. uncleared farm space means poor spawns for forageables and dig spots. Clear early and keep paths open.
X Letting animals roam without petting or feeding. Unhappy animals produce less. Pet and feed daily, and separate species that dislike each other.
