Marvel Contest of Champions
Saga Incursions Best Builds Guide
Three proven build engines for Saga Incursions - Bleed/Power Sting, Fury, and Armor. Match the engine to your roster, follow the hack priority order, and clear Zone 15 itemless.
Mode: Saga Incursions
Best Engine: Bleed/Power Sting
Goal: Zone 15 Itemless
Core Goal
Build the right hack engine for your champion roster. The hack order matters more than raw champion power - players consistently clear full Zone 15 itemless by following the bleed/fury/armor engine priority and picking synergy hacks at the correct room checkpoints.

02
Hack Priority Order
ROOM 1
Core Engine
Foundation
Bleed / Power Sting Engine
Hemostatic Charge (bleeds → Power Sting) + Tide of Combat (opponent SP consumes stings → you gain Fury). Most recommended for consistency.
Fury Engine
Fury Burst Incursions — basics grant Fury → massive SP burst damage. Best with Nova or SP-spam cosmics.
Armor Engine
Armor Burst + Defensive Cascade — armors boost damage and reduce stun cooldown for near-permanent stun loop.
Also grab immediately: Unstoppable counters (stun duration extend, heavy nullify) and basic boosts.
ROOM 5
Synergy Hack
Ramp Damage
Bleed:
Add Fury Burst — more Furies means bigger SP damage output.
Fury / Armor:
Mutually Assured Destruction — SPs heal you based on damage dealt. Essential sustain for later zones.
Continue grabbing: regen, debuff potency, or stun upgrades.
ROOM 8
Power / Utility Hack
Boss Room
Most builds:
Rage into Combat (Fury gain → Power gain for SP spam) or Martial Artist (30% longer buffs + combat power rate).
Armor builds:
Focus on Defensive Cascade for stun-locking through the boss fight.
ROOM 12
Sustain Closer
Boss Room
Mutually Assured Destruction (if not already taken). Or Second Chance / Buff Cornucopia for safety nets and healing. Finish minor hacks: Fury potency, crit rating, stun extend, degen/bleed boosts.
03
Fight Execution by Engine
Bleed Engine
Apply bleeds → force opponent SP → consumes stings → you gain Furies → SP burst + heal. Repeat.
Fury Engine
Stack Furies with basics → spam SPs (power from Rage into Combat) → heal on damage dealt via MAD.
Armor Engine
Stack armors on basics and SPs → burst damage + stun-lock → near-permanent stun loop at full ramp.
Use heavies and lights for Unstoppables. Players report full clears with minimal items by Zone 8+ once hacks are ramped.
Key Decision Points
Which engine to pick?
Bleed if you have Hit-Monkey, Null, or Baron Zemo - easiest burst and crits. Fury for SP-spam cosmic champs. Armor for tanky sustain and stun control. Test 1-2 rooms and restart early if needed.
When to swap champions?
Use prefights on your carry in Zones 1-5. Swap weaker champs for utility (e.g., Sandman for evade coverage) when approaching the tougher boss rooms at Zones 8 and 12.
No strong Saga champs in roster?
Lean Silk + stun hacks or Sinister degen/regen loop. Both can clear consistently even without top-tier Saga champs. Prioritize ascending 7-stars if available.
When to restart a run?
Restart early if the hack pool in Rooms 1-5 does not offer your core engine hacks. The community routinely restarts - an optimal hack combination is more important than saving early progress.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Ignoring Unstoppable counters early. Pick stun and heavy counter hacks in Room 1 or 5 - many runs fail specifically because of unmanaged Unstoppables.
- Wrong hack order. Do not delay the core synergy (Hemostatic + Tide of Combat for Bleed, etc.). These must be paired together early for the engine to work.
- Over-relying on one champion without SP healing or Second Chance. A single mistake without a safety net ends the run. Build sustain by Zone 8.
- Not restarting if early hack pool is poor. The community routinely restarts runs for optimal hack combinations - early exit is not a waste.
- Skipping minor hacks. Debuff potency, bleed boost, and fury potency minor hacks provide more cumulative damage than most players expect.
