Mabinogi Mobile Japan: Pre-Download and Character Creation
Pre-creation closed at 20:00 on October 6 and service launched October 7 at 12:00. Players now asking "where did my pre-made character go" are usually looking at the wrong login method or wrong server - not a deleted character.
The core issue: pre-created characters are tied to the exact sign-in method used to make them. The character is almost never deleted - it is bound to Apple, Google, LINE, or Nexon ID, and to one of the three pre-creation servers.
1Log In With the Exact Method You Used to Create
-
1
Created on phone with Apple? Stay on Apple on the phone
Apple sign-in does not cross-play to PC - a fix is only being considered after launch. Do not remake the character on another login or you will not see the reserved name.
-
2
Created with Google or LINE? Try the same provider on PC first
Some players report the same Google account logs into PC and shows the character; others still hit the earlier warning that phone social logins would not share. Try it before making anything new.
-
3
Want one character on phone and PC? Use Nexon ID on both
For new characters after launch, Nexon ID is the path players summarized as the safe route.
-
4
Outside Japan? Creation succeeding does not mean you can play
Overseas players finished character creation, then got blocked by a Japan-only connection message. The connection check is separate from creation.
2Check the Server Before Assuming the Character Is Gone
Pre-creation servers were Tir Chonaill, Tugaldor Isle, and Dunbarton - one character per server, up to three per account.
-
1
Switch through all three servers on the select screen
The server name is small and easy to miss. An empty-looking list usually means the wrong server, not a wiped character.
-
2
Post-launch the cap rose to 6 characters per server
That does not move a pre-made character to another server.
-
3
Friends on different servers cannot join the same guild
If your group picked Tir Chonaill, stay there even if crowded - most recruitment and guild posts are Tir Chonaill, with Dunbarton the other named option.
3Name Rules That Still Matter
-
1
Names are first-come across all servers, not per server
One player saw the creator accept the same name on more than one server during pre-creation - treat a name as taken globally.
-
2
Name gone? Pick a new one on your friends' server
Do not hop servers chasing a name - the server determines who you can guild with.
4Decision Points
| Situation | Do this |
|---|---|
| Phone only, created with Apple | Stay on that Apple login on the phone. Do not create a second character on Nexon ID expecting the old one to move. |
| Phone and PC both wanted | Confirm Google actually shows the character on PC. If not, wait for the Apple/cross-play follow-up rather than deleting. New characters: Nexon ID. |
| Group play | Lock the server first (most public posts are Tir Chonaill), then name, then class. Want coverage? One class per server uses the per-server limit. |
| Login failing during the access spike | Retry later per official guidance - failed logins did not reserve names anyway. |
Common Mistakes
- Creating on phone with Apple or a social login, then installing PC and expecting the character under a fresh Nexon ID.
- Recreating because the character list looks empty. Change the server first.
- Assuming pre-creation from outside Japan means you can play. The connection check is separate.
- Rushing login during the October 5 access spike. Failed logins did not reserve a name - retry later.
