Day 1 Progression Guide - Construction, ROC & Trial Hall
The exact build order and daily priorities for Frost Kingdom Day 1 - what to upgrade first, which dailies to never skip, and the mistakes that cause most players to fall behind.
The Problem
Players spread resources evenly across buildings and let builders sit idle, then hit hard bottlenecks at mid-game that take days to recover from. Day 1 success means following the main quest line, keeping every builder active at all times, and running ROC and Trial Hall dailies without missing a cap. These compound into a significant lead within 48 hours.
Build Order & Daily Priorities
Upgrade Town Hall / Castle First - Always
The Town Hall gates almost everything: features, building level caps, troop tiers, and research unlocks. Use speed-up items here if you have them. Allocate all spare resources to Town Hall before any other building.
Keep Every Builder Constantly Active
Queue the next task immediately when any build or research completes. Never idle.
- Priority order: Town Hall > Research Center > Barracks > Resource Buildings
- Research Center gives permanent bonuses - unlock it early and keep it running.
Follow Main Quests and Complete All Daily Activities
The main quest line provides instant gold, resources, and materials at every step. Max out gold early via quests. Clear every daily activity before reset - do not let any expire.
Send Marches to Gather Resources Immediately
Open the world map and send marches to gather food/wood/stone/gold right away. Keep at least one march gathering at all times. Resources become the hardest bottleneck in mid-game - stockpile early.
Join an Active Alliance on Day 1
Find one actively running ROC events and alliance activities. Construction and research help from alliance members directly reduces build times. Solo play is measurably slower at every stage.
Critical Daily Activities - Never Skip These
ROC (Raid on Creatures)
Farm as many ROC monsters as possible every day. Alliance members help with higher-level targets. Rewards: tech design plans, event milestones, premium recruitment (100 kills threshold). Higher-level ROC = better loot.
Trial Hall Daily
Complete all available missions (monster hunting, defense, invasion, challenges) before vitality hits ~40. Missing the cap is permanently wasted progress. Rewards: merge books, EXP, upgrade materials.
Troop Training
Keep barracks training troops at all times. More troops means better gathering capacity, farming efficiency, and combat power. Never leave barracks idle between construction queues.
Workshop & Military Academy
Unlock both early. Workshop enables merges; Military Academy provides permanent power spikes via research. Both are flagged as key milestones in restart guides.
Key Decision Points
Crystal vs. Gold Spending
Prioritize crystal use or conversion where it accelerates construction and research queues. Crystal on Town Hall upgrades has the highest return. Do not spend crystals on resource packs when gathering marches can fill that role.
If Spending Real Money
Growth pack first (best value for resources and speed-ups), then builder packs for extra construction queues. Save premium currency for progression unlocks, not decorative or non-essential upgrades.
Merges Timing
Use dual-merge mastery once the castle level allows it. Focus all castle upgrades first to unlock better merge tiers before burning merge books - spend them on the best available tier.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Upgrading buildings evenly instead of hard-prioritizing Town Hall and Research Center first.
Letting builders idle between queues - even for 10 minutes - accumulates into hours of lost progress daily.
Missing Trial Hall vitality cap - this compounds over time into a significant merge book and upgrade material deficit.
Skipping ROC and Combat Exercise dailies - these are the primary sources of tech plans and event milestone rewards.
Staying solo - not joining a strong alliance on Day 1 costs significant construction speed and event rewards.
