How to Unlock and Find the Boss

The secret boss in Chapter 5 is located behind a giant pink door late in the Castle area. You need specific items and enough Pink Coins to access it.

  • 1. Collect at least 10 Pink Coins (out of 19 total) scattered throughout the chapter. Extra coins unlock better post-fight rewards.
  • 2. Buy the Mystery Key from the shop on the Cliffs.
  • 3. Late in the chapter, before the boss rush at the top of the Castle, head left from the boss rush area. Complete the platforming sections, drop down to the giant pink door, and save inside before entering.

Recommended Gear

The boss's attacks count as Cat and Puppet damage. Prioritize armor with reduction against those types.

Battle Strategy

The fight revolves around filling the boss's DokiDoki meter using Flirt ACTs while she drains your Max TP heavily. Prioritize TP management and defense over low-value single Flirts.

  1. TP Management (Core Loop)

    Defend with Kris and Susie most turns. Use Ralsei's LovelyBoy ACT to raise Max TP by about 14. Equip Ralsei with strong reduction armor (Dealmaker + NetskieHat) since he will not defend. Collect hearts from attacks for minor heals and TP. Aim for 40 TP for MegaFlirtX, 80 TP for GigaFlirt. If low on TP or health, use MegaFlirt (60 TP, 5 DD) on Kris or Susie instead of single Flirts.

  2. DokiDoki Phases

    Fill the meter 3 times to trigger minigames (easy mercy progress). Get to about 75% via Flirts; the final 25% comes from the third minigame. If within 3 DD of filling, prioritize finishing the meter over healing.

Attack Tips

Bomb Attacks
The biggest pain point. Do not chase every heart. Assess safe spots quickly: bombs against walls make those walls unsafe, and corners are unsafe on two sides. The middle is often the safest position. Patterns loop early, so brute-force practice helps. Stay calm and move minimally once safe zones are identified.
Concert / Dummy Fans
Stay right under the boss and move at the last second. Projectiles that hit her turn into hearts, which you can then collect opportunistically.
Hearts
Minor heal and TP source. Grab opportunistically after Phase 1, but dodging is always more important than chasing hearts.

Straightforward. Say nice things to the boss.
2nd Minigame (Riddle-Style)
