On-foot Survival to Mech Deployment
Brigador Killers starts you on foot with a shotgun and punishes you for rushing. Here is how to scavenge early, master on-foot combat, hijack light vehicles, rear-attack APCs, and progress to the mech power fantasy without repeated deaths.
The core progression
Three phases from fragile to powerful
1. On-foot scavenging
Start with easier Garage missions focused on looting, not objectives. Grab weapons, ammo, bandages, and vehicle parts. Build your loadout before attempting harder content.
2. Light vehicle hijack
Damage enemy APCs and cop cars from behind until the driver bails, then enter with E. Use them for mobility, carrying heavy loot, and as temporary armor.
3. Mech deployment
Salvage wrecks for parts, fabricate at base, mount weapons, deploy from the Garage. Mechs feel transformative after hours of on-foot grinding.

Key decisions
When to escalate
Stay on foot?
Best for stealthy or incognito work, tight spaces, or when you need to interact with crates and mission elements. Many vehicles limit interaction. Good early or for scouting.
Hijack intermediate?
If the map has patrol APCs or heavy resistance and you lack explosives, do more loot runs or hijack something intermediate first. Light vehicles provide mobility and temporary armor.
Push for mech?
If you have LAWs, rear-attack capability, and a decent suit, go for the mech objective. Salvage, fabricate, mount weapons, and deploy from the Garage.
Loud or quiet?
Going loud in a mech escalates enemy response. On-foot with discreet weapons can stay lower-profile depending on loadout. Match your approach to your gear and objective.
