BanG Dream Our Notes Gekiso Live Multiplayer
Gekiso Live is party PvP, not Garupa-style shared skills and Fever. Everyone plays the same chart. Final score is your play plus bonuses from placing in each of the three Gekiso sections. Those section types are fixed per song, and difficulty does not change them.
Core problem: Players lose because they treat it like Garupa Multi Live, ignore the section type, pick the wrong song type for their team, or stare at the live ranking instead of the notes. The three Gekiso sections decide a big score bonus, and they are fixed per song. Learn the section map for the songs you spam.
1The Three Gekiso Section Types
2Do This in Order
-
1
Calibrate before you queue
CBT players said timing offset was the first wall. Do Free Live first, set note speed, offset, and Fast or Slow display, then enter Gekiso. Do not learn offset in a ranked room.
-
2
Turn on Assist if you drop combo
Assist makes flicks register while you keep your finger down and auto-scales combo help. Use it until you can survive COMBO sections. You can still play multi with it. Beginners have a real shot in LUCK rooms. JUST rooms punish them.
-
3
Build a team for Gekiso skills, not only raw power
Members and Snap support cards have Gekiso-only skills. Slot those on purpose. Also match song type or color to the team you brought. A type mismatch is why a better player still loses score.
-
4
Pick the song with the section mix you want
You choose before match start, then one of the submitted songs is rolled. Want a skill check: songs heavy on JUST. Want a party or F2P-friendly lobby: LUCK-heavy. Want to leverage consistency: COMBO-heavy. Some charts are LUCK times three. Those feel like a coin flip, avoid them if you are trying to climb.
-
5
Play the section, not the HUD
Each window shows its own meter: combo length, luck gauge, JUST count. Looking at live place-swaps is how people drop notes. Play the chart. Check the log after. The post-live rank graph is what players use to review where they got passed.
-
6
After the song, use stamps and check which section flipped the ranking
Next queue, swap Snap or Gekiso skills if the last song's section order exposed a hole. No luck skill into a LUCK chart, no stability into COMBO.
3Section Playbook
| Section | How to play it |
|---|---|
| COMBO | Survival first. A slightly early or late hit that keeps combo beats a broken chain. Assist is allowed if that is the difference. |
| LUCK | Keep hitting to fill the gauge. Skills matter here more than perfect timing. This is the section weaker players win. Do not tilt if the lottery dumps you. |
| JUST | Recalibrate tighter than your usual Perfect habit. You may need a more aggressive offset than Free Live. Do not mash. Miss a JUST rather than break the rest of the song if the window is already lost. |
4Key Decisions
| Situation | Choice |
|---|---|
| New to the game | Assist on, LUCK-friendly song picks, ignore JUST rank. |
| You full combo easily but lose | You are losing JUST or type mismatch, not combo. Swap skills or team color. |
| Lobby looks sweaty | Do not submit a LUCK times three chart if you need a fair fight. |
| Your team is one color | Submit that color's songs. Expect others to counter-pick. |
| Rank ticker is distracting | Use lightweight or simple visual mode for the match. |

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Playing it like Garupa Multi. Shared skills and Fever are not the rules here. Gekiso Live is party PvP with section bonuses.
- Skipping timing setup, then blaming JUST. Calibrate in Free Live first. Offset is the first wall.
- Watching 1st and 5th place bounce during the section. That is how people drop notes. Play the chart.
- Bringing a general score team with no Gekiso or Snap skills. Members and support cards have Gekiso-only skills. Slot them on purpose.
- Assuming one farm song always wins. Type clash plus fixed section order makes that fail. Learn the section map for the songs you spam.
- Forcing a laggy room. CBT still had long ready timers and drops. Requeue instead.
